Gold, by hand, in London.

Four thousand strikes to a band. Click for one, hold for more, scroll to turn.

Hammered, never cast.

Every band is raised from a strip of 22 carat gold with a planishing hammer. About four thousand strikes. No two rings take the light the same way.

সোনা, sona. Gold.

Our name is the first line of a song every Bangladeshi child can sing: amar sonar Bangla, my golden Bengal. Three generations of our family made gold in Dhaka before we made it here.

The band that took four thousand strikes.

Each piece carries the leopard's head, the mark struck on London gold since 1300, and our own small mark beside it.
