01 · Top notes · the first ten minutes

The lime is pressed the morning it is picked. By the time it reaches you it has become the brightest thing in the room for exactly ten minutes.
02 · Heart · hours one to four

The heart is the part people ask you about. We kept it warm and a little wet, like a courtyard after the first monsoon shower.
03 · Base · until morning
- Agarwood, cured twelve years
- Smoked vetiver

Agar trees wound themselves to heal, and the wound becomes resin. The village of Sujanagar has been reading that resin for generations. We buy from four families, by the kilo, at their price.
